VARNA BAPTIST CHURCH

Varna Baptist Church, located in Varna, Bulgaria, is a vibrant and compassionate Christian community led by Pastor George and Ann Todorov. The church is deeply committed to serving its local and refugee communities through a wide range of ministries and outreach projects, especially during the summer months.

Ministries and Outreach:

  • Children’s Summer Camps: Organising fun, Bible-based camps for Bulgarian and Ukrainian children to hear the gospel, build friendships, and grow in faith.

  • Support for Ukrainian Refugees: Offering accommodation, food, transport, medical help, and pastoral care to families displaced by war. Many live in the church building itself.

  • Lego City Event: Hosting a unique workshop for over 50 children using Lego to teach, build relationships, and introduce families to church life.

  • Foster Care Support: Providing therapy, sensory play, and excursions for children with disabilities in foster care, including building a dedicated therapy room.

  • Student Missions: Supporting university students in their faith journeys and sending them on short-term mission trips to share the gospel across Bulgaria.

  • New Baptism Course: Helping new believers grow in their faith with discipleship and preparation for baptism.

  • Refugee Hotel Visits: Delivering essential supplies, Bibles, and encouragement to families in remote hotels, alongside regular prayer and spiritual support.

  • Advocacy and Emergency Aid: Helping Ukrainian women in work placements and offering last-minute help with medical appointments and housing emergencies.

  • Community Events: Hosting inclusive, joyful occasions such as weddings and church gatherings to welcome newcomers and celebrate life together.

Vision and Heart:
Varna Baptist Church is more than a congregation – it's a living witness of God's love in action. Whether through hands-on aid, gospel teaching, or simply listening and praying with those in crisis, the church seeks to be a faithful presence in the city and beyond. They work with local and international partners, united in a vision to see Bulgaria transformed by Christ’s love.
